Treble includes Listed win for Threading

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s Threading (pictured above with David Hickins) lined up in the Longines Irish Champions Weekend Fillies’ Stakes (Registered As The Michael Seely Memorial), a Listed event for three-year-old fillies at York. Under William Buick, the daughter of Exceed And Excel made light work of the mile event to win by an impressive seven lengths.
The last race of the Dante meeting was won by Mohammed Bin Hamad Khalifa Al Attiya’s Baghdad. The three-year-old son of Frankel took the 12-furlong handicap by a short head from stablemate Making Miracles. A thrilling finish in strong battle between William Buick and Silvestre de Sousa, giving a William a double on the day for the Kingsley Park team.
Hamilton’s evening meeting also gave the team a nail-biting finish when Rainbow Rebel (Joe Fanning) and Star Of The East (Jane Elliott) disputed the lead in the closing stages of the 12-furlong Braveheart handicap. Joe Fanning got Rainbow Rebel to the line half a length ahead of his stable companion.
Congratulations to all involved!
