Leading trainer for the 11th time!

Saturday victories for Soldier in Action and debutant Dee Ex Bee confirmed Mark Johnston as Leading Trainer at the Qatar Goodwood Festival 2017.
Silvestre de Sousa partnered the MJR double at the Qatar Goodwood Festival. Alan Spence’s trooper, Soldier In Action, won the Qatar Summer handicap in a thrilling finish. After travelling mid-field for most of the 14 furlong event, Silvestre started asking Soldier In Action for an extra effort from three from home. The Soldier OF Fortune gelding kept finding for his jockey and got up on the line to win by a head.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s imposing Dee Ex Bee, a juvenile colt by Farhh, made all in the valuable maiden stakes, over seven furlongs, to win by two and a quarter lengths.
