Elegiac thrives at York

Elegiac, owned by S&d Richards, N Browne And I Boyce, lined up with stablemate Lynwood Gold in the Racebets Handicap at York under Silvestre de Sousa. Elegiac, the three-year-old son of Farhh out of the Singspiel mare Lamentation, travelled towards the rear of the field until two from home. Silvestre asked his mount to improve and Elegiac responded readily, increasing the gap between him and the field to the line. Elegiac won the valuable 14-furlong event by four length with Lynwood Gold in third under Joe Fanning.
Congratulations to all involved.
