Dreamer opens across-the-card treble

Mick Doyle’s juvenile colt I Am A Dreamer made all at York in the Stratford Place Stud Breeds Group Winners ebfstallions.com Maiden Stakes. Nine lined up in the six furlong event on the Knavesmire. The Dream Ahead colt hung in the finishing stages but won by half a length. This maiden was a Plus 10 race for which I Am A Dreamer qualified. A nice bonus on top of the very attractive £12,450 to the winner.
The team scored a double at Newmarket courtesy of Abareeq and Burgonet. Alan and Mike Spence’s Abareeq, a five-year-old gelding by Haatef, won the 12-furlong handicap by four and a half lengths under Joe Fanning. Burgonet, owned by John Brown & Partner, despite an awkward start soon dictated and was never headed in the 10-furlong maiden under Joe Fanning. The three-year-old daughter of Helmet won by half a length.
Congratulations to all involved!
