Across-the-card treble

Another busy day for the team with runners at five tracks. The first winner of the day came from Newmarket. Silvestre de Sousa partnered Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed’s Communique in the Bet365 handicap over 10 furlongs. In a finish full of obstacles, Silvestre drove Communique strongly to win by a short head. Rainbow Rebel was back into action, just six days after his fantastic win at Haydock in the Old Newton Cup. The son of Acclamation, under Franny Norton, took the 11.5-furlong handicap by one and a half length for the Owners Group 004. At Chepstow’s evening meeting, Hugh Hart’s Rastacap made all in the seven-furlong handicap, under apprentice Andrew Breslin, to win by three quarters of a length.
